Background
Due to the delayed renewal of the company’s official website’s multilingual services, a large number of 404 pages suddenly emerged, directly impacting user experience and search engine indexing. Worse still, Google Search Console lacks a bulk submission feature for removal requests—manual submission of each link is time-consuming and error-prone.
Solution
To address this efficiently, I built an automated workflow using RPA tools with simple yet effective steps:
- First, I validated the core automation logic with Z-Factory RPA, constructing a basic workflow for automatic submission of 404 page removal requests.
- For long-term stability, I later reconstructed and optimized the solution with ShadowBot RPA to create a reusable framework: simply copy new 404 links into a spreadsheet, and the program automatically reads the data, simulates manual login to Google Search Console, and completes bulk removal submissions.
- Enabled ShadowBot RPA’s background execution mode, allowing the process to run silently in the background without occupying front-end resources or disrupting daily work.
Implementation Results
- Efficiency Maximized: What previously took 4 hours of manual work is now completed automatically in the background with no human supervision—efficiency has been doubled.
- 100% Accuracy with Zero Errors: Eliminated manual omissions and submission errors, achieving a 100% accuracy rate for 404 page removal requests.
- Cost Reduction & Productivity Boost: Freed up human resources to focus on core business tasks. The reusable workflow significantly lowers long-term operational costs.
Solution Value
This solution perfectly resolves the pain points of “repetitive manual work + low efficiency + high error rates.” It serves as a replicable model not only for 404 page management but also for other scenarios involving bulk repetitive operations.
Personal Value Highlights
This practical case demonstrates my strong problem-solving abilities and proactive mindset. Faced with the urgent issue of a sudden surge in 404 pages and inefficient, error-prone manual processing, I did not wait passively. Instead, I immediately leveraged RPA technology to tackle the problem, focusing on the core direction of “automating repetitive labor.”
Balancing short-term implementation and long-term stability, I first validated the logic quickly with Z-Factory RPA, then optimized it into a reusable solution with ShadowBot RPA—reflecting comprehensive thinking, excellent technical selection, and process optimization capabilities. Proficient in two RPA tools (Z-Factory & ShadowBot), I can effectively apply automation technology to real business pain points, driving significant efficiency gains, cost reduction, and providing the team with replicable automation transformation ideas. I am a results-oriented professional who truly empowers business growth through technology.
